예수의 권세와 능력(authority and power)의 원천은 어디서 나왔을까? 인간 영혼을 구원해 주시기 위해서 밤낮으로 뛰시고 새벽 미명엔 한적한 곳(lonely place)을 찾아서 계속적으로 기도를 드렸다고 기록되어 있다. 찬송가 482장엔 “주 세상에서 일찍이 저 요란한 곳 피하여 빈들에서나 산에서 온 밤을 새워 지내사(And pray all night, While all the calm-’ring world grew still) 주 예수 친히 기도로 큰 본을 보여 주셨네(His ways to walk, His joys to share, ‘Tis thee we need, sweet hour of prayer)란 가사가 있다. 우리 주님과의 순수한 대화 속에서 우리는 평화(peace)와 안정감(steady mind)과 신뢰감(trust)을 갖게 된다. 자녀와 이 세상에서 믿고 믿는 아버지와의 사랑어린 대화처럼 아름답고 평화롭다. 밀러 제임스 럿셀(James Miller Russel)은 가장 아름답고 좋은 것은 아침에 그리스도의 거룩한 얼굴과 그리스도의 거룩한 음성으로 하루를 시작하라고 우리들에게 권고했다. 매일 아침 처음 말은(the first word) 예수님이
아니어서는 안 된다고 했다. 우리는 기도로 해가 뜨고 기도로 하루의 마지막을 장식하자.
41.And devils came out of many, crying out, and saying Thou art Christ the son of God, and he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: and for they knew that he was christ. 42.And when it was day, he departed and went into desert place: and people were searching, and came unto him, and stayed him that he should not depart from them 43.And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also; for therefore am I sent? 44.And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.[Luke 4:41-44]

■Structure & Vocabulary
*devil=악마, 악귀. Needs must when the devil drives. 발등의 불을 끄기 위해선 못할 것이 없다. paint the devil blacker than he is. 과장하여 악평하다. play a devil with=...을 엉망진창으로 만들다. raise the devil=대소동을 일으키다. 호랑이도 제 말하면 온다=Talk of the devil, and he will(be sure) appear. Devils came out of many=귀신이 여러 사람들에게서 나가며.
*crying out=And the devils(they) cried out and they said=소리 질러 가로되, 그 귀신이 나가며 소리 질러 외쳤다. *Thou(you) art(are) Christ, the Son of God. 당신은 예수 그리스도 하나님의 아들이다. and would not allowed them to speak because they know that he was Christ. 그들이 그리스도인 것을 안고로 그들이 말하는 것을 허락지 않았다. They sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him that he should not depart from them/ The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried keep him from leaving them(무리가 찾다가 만나서 자기들에게서 떠나지 못하게 하사. *desert place=인적이 드믄 곳. *depart=떠나다. *must preach(꼭 전해야 한다)/for therefore was I sent:그래서 파송 되었다.
