우리 신앙인들은 절기를 이해하는 것도 좋을 것 같다. 왜냐하면 절기가 돌아오면 각 교회에서 절기 행사를 통해서 협동과 봉사심을 기를지도 모른다. 매년 3번씩(유월절, 오순절, 장막절)을 절기를 지키라고 성경에 기록되어 있다. 출애굽기 23장 14절엔 “너는 매년 삼 차 네게 절기를 지킬지니라”(Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.) 17절엔 “너희 모든 남자는 매년 3번씩 주 여호와께 보일찌니라”(Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.) 15절엔 “너는 무교병의 절기를 지키라. 내가 네게 명한대로 아빕월의 정한 때에 칠일 동안 무교병을 먹을지니 이는 그 달에 네가 애굽에서 나왔음이라 빈손으로 내게 보이지 말찌니라”(Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: Thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt. None shall appear before me empty.) 16절에 “맥추절(the feast of harvest)을 지키라 이는 네가 수고하여 밭에 뿌린 것의 첫 열매를 거둠이니라. 수장절(the feast of ingathering)을 지키라. 이는 네가 수고하여 이룬 것을 연중에 밭에서부터 거두어 저장함이라 우리는 준비된 마음과 빈손이 아닌 정성을(예물) 드려서 헌신하는 마
음가짐으로 주 앞에 나타나는 것이 필요하지 않을까?
