52nd Korean Parade: “Beyond Boundaries, A New Leap Forward”
The 52nd Korean Parade, the highlight of the LA Korean Festival—the largest celebration in the Korean-American community—will vibrantly adorn Olympic Boulevard in the heart of LA’s Koreatown from 3 PM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 18. Organized by The Korea Times USA, the 52nd Korean Parade, under the theme "Beyond Boundaries, A New Leap Forward," symbolizes the unity of the Korean-American community and pledges a bold step forward, rooted in the strength of 122 years of Korean immigration history.

Since its inception in 1974 during the early formation of the Korean immigrant community, the Korean Parade has been the oldest and most storied event in the Korean-American community. Over its half-century history, it has symbolized Korean-American unity and progress, showcasing the prominence of the Korean community and the excellence of Korean culture to mainstream and multiethnic communities, while standing as the premier event representing Korea-U.S. friendship.

The 52nd Korean Parade, as part of the LA Korean Festival, aims to deliver a message of true unity by transcending cultural, generational, and community boundaries. It will unfold as a grand celebration symbolizing harmony, exchange, and mutual prosperity among the Southern California Korean community, mainstream society, and multiethnic communities.

To this end, prominent political figures and leaders representing both the Korean and mainstream communities, along with various organizations and businesses, will join the parade to pledge future-oriented cooperation and unity across multicultural communities. Notably, a large number of youth organizations, representing the future of the Korean community, will participate, showcasing a parade filled with dreams and hope.

The event will also feature vibrant performances by traditional Korean Nongak (farmers’ music) bands, traditional dance troupes, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), marching bands, Taekwondo demonstration teams, and Marine Corps units, among others, offering a richer spectacle than ever before, representing the diversity of multicultural communities.

Marking the 122nd anniversary of Korean immigration, the Korean Parade celebrates the trials and achievements of the Korean-American community while boldly declaring a hopeful march toward a bright future. We ask for your continued support and interest in this year’s Korean Parade.
