Immigration Crackdown Leaves Koreatown Street Vendors Struggling

The once-bustling street vendor alley in front of the Olympic Police Station in LA’s Koreatown has become noticeably quiet due to the recent immigration crackdowns. While most stalls remain open, they stand empty, with a marked decline in customer foot traffic. Only the occasional customer stopping by from a car can be seen.
One vendor lamented, “Since the crackdowns, some vendors have stopped coming out altogether. Above all, the sharp drop in customers has made business impossible.” On June 18, the vendor alley was strikingly devoid of customers.
