The newly constructed LAX/Metro Transit Center, located near LAX, officially opened on June 6. This brings passengers closer to accessing LAX via the LA Metro rail system. The new station is situated between Aviation Boulevard and 96th Street, serving both the C Line (Green Line) and the K Line (Pink Line). When the LAX automated People Mover train opens early next year, Metro rail will provide direct access to LAX terminals. On June 6, the first train arrived at the LAX/Metro Transit Center.
