How Art Impacts My Life

Recently I read an article about a young student who was also a professional drone flyer. When he turned 10, he played with his first drone which, unbeknownst to him at the time, would forever change his life. Since that day, his life had been consumed with drone piloting and not a single day has passed where he stopped. His love of flying motivated and inspired him to become an airplane pilot one day. Just as Luke had never been apart from his drone, I cannot remember a day I have been apart from painting. Painting became an important part of my life.

In first grade, I recall walking into a room that smelled like oil and acrylic paint. The table bore an uncanny resemblance to a Jackson Pollock painting. Ever since then, I cannot think of a moment where I was not near my art supplies. Every night, I would get my canvas off my bookshelf and start painting. In second grade, I remember seeing my classmate’s mom, who was an artist, paint a mural on the wall behind the our school‘s garden. Just like her, I would love to tackle a big project that takes a lot of perseverance.

I also would like to be an art teacher, to spread my joy of art to someone else. Lastly, I would like to become a person who teaches art at hospitals, to encourage patients to forget about their worries. I hope that I can inspire others and show people a new way to express their personality through painting.

In conclusion, I love painting. Painting inspires me to become more interested in many jobs in the world that I would enjoy. I believe that my love for painting will even lead me to where I should belong. Painting has a long history in my life and I hope it stays in the future.
