In the past four years, Canadian singer Justin Bieber has always been in the spotlight. With every move Bieber made, there was a school of cameras following him around. From the start of his debut album in 2009, with a moderately successful EP and song, Bieber has made a name of himself in the music industry. Bieber has been nicknamed “The Next Big Thing,” “Pop’s New Prince,” and “Musical Prodigy.” Justin Bieber found success right around the corner. However, fame has changed Bieber in the last four years. Just as fame came quickly for Bieber, it can go just as fast with the “wrong moves.”
To become a millionaire at the age of 16 is a rare occasion. One factor that made Bieber when his career first took off was his unique sense of “freshness.” His music and performance was pure, new, and fun. It did not seem like he was trying hard. Bieber really made it seem like he was singing for fun. To sing for fun is honestly where the root is for people to find why they sing and Justin followed in that thought. The first moment fame really took the wrong turn for Justing was when a women clamined Justine was the father of her child. Though those accusations turned out to be false, it really demonstrated how frail a celebrity’s image is and how one accusation can shatter the image of a singer.
In 2013, Beiber’s fate turned for the worse. From a breakup, to being caught for drug abuse, and even being arrested twice, Justin was still able to bring himself to the spotlight but for the worse. With the built-up “bad” reputation, Bieber is no longer famous for his energetic music and performance. Bieber’s case is the perfect example of how a musical artist can take a sharp turn for the worse, affecting his music and career.
