“The Last Peak of Summer”… Korean Travel Agencies Anticipate Labor Day Boom
According to the Korean travel industry on August 24, inquiries for various tour packages targeting the Labor Day weekend (August 30–September 1) are flooding in. Some popular packages have already sold out early, reflecting strong customer interest, while family-oriented or small-group tours with flexible schedules are also gaining traction. Industry insiders are enthusiastic, noting,

“This year’s Labor Day season is hotter than last year.” Samho Travel has launched VVIP limousine bus-guaranteed exclusive packages to mark Labor Day. A 5-day tour to Banff, Canada, departing on August 28, is priced at $1,799. A 4-day Yellowstone and Grand Teton tour on August 29 costs $1,299, while a 4-day Mount Rushmore tour is $1,499. A 3-day Yosemite and San Francisco tour is available for $739. On August 30, a 3-day tour visiting Antelope Canyon and Glen Canyon is priced at $539, and a 2-day Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon tour is $299. Even on Labor Day itself, September 1, a Yellowstone tour will be offered.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Samho Travel is also running a one-day tour to Santa Barbara, Solvang, and Fess Parker Winery for $109. Aju Travel is also offering Labor Day specials. A 4-day Yellowstone and Grand Teton tour departing on August 29 is priced at $1,299, while a 4-day tour to Horseshoe Bend and Las Vegas costs $789. A 4-day tour covering Yosemite, San Francisco, 17-Mile Drive, and Solvang is available for $739. On August 30, a 3-day Bryce and Zion Canyon tour is $499, and a 3-day Redwood and San Francisco tour is also $499.


Chunchu Travel is selling a 6-day package to Vancouver, the Rockies, and Victoria for $1,149, with departures every Monday and Friday. An 8-day tour covering the U.S. East Coast, Niagara Falls, and Old Quebec is priced at $1,749, also offered as a weekly tour. A 7-day tour of Italy, departing on September 20 and October 14, costs $1,999. Various 5-day Hawaii resort packages are also available. Pure Tour is offering a 5-night, 6-day U.S. East Coast and Canada package for $1,250, with departures every Wednesday and Sunday until November 2. The highlight is staying two consecutive nights at a hotel within walking distance of Niagara Falls, allowing visitors to fully experience its grandeur. A 7-night, 8-day tour including the U.S. East Coast, Canada, and Boston is priced at $1,650. A 12-day tour of the Caucasus region—covering Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia—departs on September 22 for $3,190, including airfare.

Moamoa Tour has introduced a 13-day travel package covering Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. The itinerary includes Barcelona, where Gaudí’s spirit lives, Granada with its blend of Islamic and Catholic cultures, and Toledo, a city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A 10-day tour of Western Europe—encompassing the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland—is also available. Additionally, a 13-day tour of Eastern Europe and the Balkan Peninsula, reminiscent of a fairytale, is actively being promoted.

Dongseo Nam Buk Tour, a Korean travel agency specializing in South American travel, is attracting customers with packages to Patagonia (where Chile and Argentina meet), Bolivia’s Uyuni Salt Flats, Peru’s Machu Picchu (one of the world’s seven wonders), Chile’s Easter Island, Argentina’s Iguazu Falls, Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, and Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands. An industry insider commented, “The Labor Day weekend is essentially the last major holiday of the summer season, leading to an explosive demand. The early sellouts of long-haul and specialized packages are injecting vitality across the industry.”
