As residential and business burglaries have been on the rise throughout Southern California, a new security camera that emits smoke and pepper spray when detecting an unknown intruder has been developed, attracting attention.

According to a report by KTLA, the security camera, called "FlashBang," was launched by Deep Sentinel in 2021. This camera is designed to emit smoke and pepper spray at burglars attempting to break into homes or businesses while also sounding a very loud warning alarm.

Deep Sentinel CEO David Selinger stated in a press release, "In situations where brazen burglars aren't deterred by typical security systems, our product will prove to be a highly effective tool."
