Yosemite valley is not always snow covered in winter. 

In fact, it's quite rare to see the snow in the valley as the elevation is pretty low. 

If you want to see the winter wonderland in Yosemite valley, you need to go there just after the snow storm. The snow will melt away in a few hours in a sunny day.
