Summer Programs
Students of the United States are getting ready for the summer programs and some of them are excited and some of them are not. Some say it‘s really important to have something to do and some say it’s not as important.

I interview two people on what they are planning to do in summer, and they both have different views on it. Sungjoon is planning on taking coding lesson because he likes coding on a computer and other devices and he thinks it will be a long term hobby.

He also thinks it‘s important to have a clear plan for summer because it keeps you busy and it helps you in the future, however he thinks to much of it could be bad because it will take away your resting time from summer and you will get tired from a whole year of school year. He thinks the activities to do in summer doesn’t have to be related to you major if you don‘t have one. Grace has a different point of view on this topic.

She is considering taking writing class because she is interested in taking it and she thinks it will be something that she can do as a job later in life. She is also planning on taking some other classes in IVC. The reason why she is planning to do a lot of stuff in summer is because that she thinks that summer is a great time to gain skills and explode your minds to fields that you might be interested.

She thinks that a plan is important as well because it keeps you on truck and you will have a vision of what you want to accomplish by the end of summer. However, the main reason why she is taking the class that she is new of is that she is trying to find a major for herself.

I personally think that they both have the right path for summer and they both are going to be working hard on what they want out of life in the long run.

Summer programs are great if you use them correctly, and what I mean by that is that if you think that what you are planning to do in summer will be useful and helpful, then you will work hard towards it. Not only that, you get to meet new people and make friends, you also get to work with different types of people with different types of ideas and ways of doing task. Last but not least, you can avoid “summer slide”, so when school starts you don’t feel much work.
