The Green Bay Packers have a strong team with lots of depth and room for injury. They look well suited for the harsh nature of the NFL. Although they have lots of team depth, they have one irreplaceable player in Aaron Rodgers. He is a majestic player whose passing accuracy and sharpness is unmatched by most. While he has had the second least attempts in the NFL he still holds a strong 9th place. He has stacked a staggering 286 yards bettering the likes of legendary names like Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Cam Newton and Nick Foles. Rodgers’ performance this season is pivotal to the attacking side of the Packer’s attack. The Packers have started strongly topping their division.
The Green Bay Packers have started the season with a absolute thriller of a game after being down 20-3 in entering the final quarter, they scored three touchdowns collecting 21 points from the Bears in the last quarter. They did all this while only allowing 3 points to be scored against them. Aaron Rodgers was injured in the first quarter, but he came back in the 4th quarter captaining the team by scoring 3 touchdowns; a wonderful performance from the skipper. Aaron Rodgers is a true example of determination and a good example of the famous quote “The best defense is attack”. Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison and Davante Adams also pulling a shift from the wings of the attack; they ran a combined distance of 299 yards. They ended up receiving all three of the touchdowns. During the game, the Green Bay Packers did not get to see much of the ball in the attacking aspect of the game. The Packers only had 26.38 minutes of the ball compared to the Bears who had on average 33.22 minutes of the ball, but the Packers were far more efficient with the ball.
Green Bay Packers have an unspoken advantage to most teams better than they. They have no pressure, no expectations and no risk. Last Season that finished 20th out of 32 teams, but this means that they have no pressure to top the league while also they have no chance of finishing last (Mostly because of the Brown’s absolutely atrocious season last year). This allows them to play every game going in as the underdogs. Although this mentality could give them an advantage, their star player was injured on the first game of the season. This brings down team morale, but it also allows younger player to display their talent and potential. Giving the younger players game time is good for them to develop their play, and to adjust to the high standards of the NFL. On paper, it seems as thought the Packers will finish mid-table and be another season for the Packer’s fans, but they could be the dark horse of the NFL. With young players: Equanimeous St. Brown, Jaire Alexander, JK Scott, Alex Light, Josh Jackson, Kenny Clark and DeShone Kizer to take the field with the recent injury woes, the younger line-up provides raw talent to the field and could start a foundation for an era of the Packers. The fresh pair of legs provides a fit and young squad, which could provide physicality to their game. 22 year old Kenny Clark, is 22 years of age, but a staggering 314 pounds and 6’3. This is ridiculous. He is huge. On and off the field, this is someone you do not want to come across.
This season is a great opportunity for the Green Bay Packers to restore the golden era from 2009 to 2016 when they finished within the top 12 every season and even winning in 2011. Since, then they haven’t finished above the top 16 in 2 seasons. Green Bay Packers, do not mess up this chance.
