“Don’t change to fit the fashion, change the fashion to fit you.”

As time goes on, people’s view of clothes changed dramatically. More and more people begin to change their clothes styles into wearing oversized clothes. This view of fashion impacts a lot of people in China and brought a new fashion style toward the world.

The oversized style was brought to China recently, and it elicited a new fashion style. But what is the advantage of the oversized-style or why is it so popular?

Many point that “Oversized clothes always look more comfortable to wear than the ones that show our curves. Sometimes they can make us feel safe and protected.” Oversized clothes are always active. Wearing oversized clothes relaxes peoples’ muscles and brings a lot of advantages to their bodies. People could easily stretch around and move their bodies easily.

Second, a lot people love to wear oversized clothes because it would make the person seem skinnier, thinner, and taller. Just like wearing black clothes would make a person whiter, oversized clothes would make people to be “smaller” in a good way. However, oversized clothes make fat people confident while wearing it. In my research, most of my friends who were fat told me that they love to wear fat clothes because smaller clothes would make the body tight, so it seemed really fat. Just remember, the more oversized it is, the better view it would provide.

However, comparing to the past fashion style, oversized clothes really changed Chinese traditions a lot. In China, people don’t like being too open. But oversized clothes are the opposite. Even now, there are still a lot of people, especially adults, who refuse their children to wear oversized clothes. This fashion disadvantages the traditional thinking, but push the new fashion style to go forward.
