Syrian attacks provoke reaction from the world

On a Friday night, American and British allies striked Syrian chemical research facilities due to a recent chemical attack, which goes against certain U.N. rules. Before this event, Russia had voted to block a resolution where it will give U.N investigators power over chemical weapons in Syria on April 10th. Due to this vote, the U.N will no longer be able to investigate the chemical attack that occurred on April 4th. Since Russia has voted against the investigation of Syrian chemical weapons, this most likely made attack easier to perform. Russia’s previous ties to Syria has led too many Syrian civilians’ deaths.

Following the chemical attack, the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom stated that there was no proof of a chemical attack, although there was disturbing videos and images of this horrific event. These accusations against the chemical attacks as been disproven immediately with many haunting images and videos of men, women, and children gasping for air. This chemical attack has affected an estimate of 500 people, although we do not know the exact number of casualties yet.

Since September 30, 2015 Russia had direct military involvement in the Syrian war. During this time, Russia repeatedly vetoed the draft resolutions that demanded the Syrian president Bashar-al Assad to resign his position in the government.
