our lives. As compared to the year 2000, we have advanced in terms of technology so far that we have completely differentlifestyles compared to those in the 1990s. This drastic improvement has worked in our favor. Advances in many different fields, such as the medical field, have immensely helped save countless lives. However, while technology has aided the human race in terms of accessing a more comfortableand happier lifestyle, it has its downfalls as well. Present teenagers have turned from daily exercise to video games and watching TV on a daily basis. While doing this once in a while would be relaxing and for the most part, perfectly fine, this occurrence has taken over the lives of many people and has become a routine.
Exercise is something that gets our blood flowing, and as a result, allows you to feel more energetic and awake. It also strengthens your muscles so that you feel less tired and stronger. Today, many teens complain that they have no energy, and that they feel lazy and unmotivated. Studies have shown that exercising releases endorphins, which are chemicals that allow you to feel happier and maintain a calmer mood. The release of endorphins into your bloodstream can make you feel and look better, and can also help those with mild depression. Moreover, daily exercise of at least 30 minutes a day, experts say, can help students earn better grades due to better blood circulation in the brain. However, the presence of advanced technological devices such as smartphonesand laptops prevents that because it causes the user to focus solely on the device. “There are less and less kids trying out for sports every year,” states one of the football coaches at DBHS.
