베이지역 천문학자들이 밤하늘의 아름다운 별을 관찰할 수 있는 ‘스타 파티(Star Parties)’를 오늘(5일) 밤 연다.
산타로사부터 살리나스까지 20여 군데의 학교, 과학센터 등지에서 진행되는 이번 행사에 참가하면 망원경을 통해 별, 달, 행성 등을 볼 수 있다. 날이 흐려 실제로 별을 보기 힘들면 실내에서 그림을 보며 별에 대한 이야기를 들려주는 등의 이벤트도 준비돼있다.
이번 행사는 풋힐 컬리지(Foothill College)의 앤드류 프랙노이와 퍼시픽천문학회가 공동주관하는 베이지역 과학 페스티벌 프로그램 중 하나다. 참가비는 무료이며, 자세한 사항은 홈페이지 (www.bayareascience.org/festival)에서 확인할 수 있다.
