The Korean Times in Chicago holds the first International Photo Contest Invitation.

As a genre of media arts today, photography has become a part of our lives thanks to the popularization of cameras.
And the Korea Times-with the support of the Dong-Seo Travel Agency-is looking to exhibit photos that capture the history and experiences of Koreans who have immigrated to Chicago.
The photos can be of diverse subjects, including snapshots of families living their daily lives, traveling, or of natural sceneries.
Experts will select the top pictures and will award gold, silver and bronze prizes (along with testimonials, travel gift coupons or souvenirs) for the winning pieces. The Korea Times will also hold an exhibition of the photos.
All Chicago-area Koreans are welcomed to take part.

Interested?

Please send or drop-off black and white or color photos (at least 11 x 14) to The Korean Time in Chicago, 4447 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL 60625 by May 31, 2006.

On the back of each picture please include: the title of the work and a brief description, the place taken along with the applicant’s name, contact phone number and address.

Note, there’s a limit of three photos per applicant.

Winners will be announced in June, 2006, both in the newspapers and individually.
