②남과 협동적으로 일할 수 있고, 자신의 의무에 책임을 질 수 있는 힘
(ability to work with others in a cooperative way and to take responsibility for one’s duties/roles within society)

③다른 문화를 이해하고, 받아들이고, 인내심을 기를 수 있는 능력
(ability to understand, accept, and tolerate cultural differences)

④비판적이고 조직적으로 생각할 수 있는 능력
(capacity to think in a critical and systemic way)

⑤서로의 의견 충돌이나 갈등을 평화적으로 해결할 수 있는 힘
(willingness to resolve conflict in a non-violent manner)

⑥자신의 라이프스타일과 소비자로서의 습관을 환경보호 차원으로 바꿀 수 있는 자
(willingness to change one’s lifestyle and consumption habits to protect the environment)

1. 학생들이 독립적으로 생각할 수 있도록 가르친다.
(Support teaching that encourages children to think critically)

2. 학생들이 인포메이션을 판단적으로 받아들이도록 강조한다.
(Emphasize students’ ability to critically assess information in an increasingly technology-based society)

3. 학교나 로컬 커뮤니티가 자치적으로 커리큘럼이나 학교 행정 결정을 학교 자체 내에서 자치적으로 하도록 학교 개혁을 한다.
(Decentralize decision making so that individual schools and local communities have considerable control of curriculum and educational administration)

4. 학생들이 협동적으로 배우는 기회를 많이 준다.
(Increase opportunities for students to be involved in cooperative learning activities)

5. 커뮤니티 참여 기회를 학교 커리큘럼에 넣도록 요구한다.
(Require that opportunities for community involvement be an important feature of the school curriculum)

6. 여러 다른 견해를 존중하고 받아들이고 참을성 있게 볼 수 있는 힘을 발달시키는 커리큘럼 강조.
